It’s hard to believe that another 4th of July is here already.  Especially since it still feels like spring with all of the rain lately.  Nonetheless, it’s that time of year so break out the barbecues and the volleyball nets.  Below is a list of Firework Shows and Activities for Northern Utah communities.

Centerville Fourth of July celebrations begin on Friday, July 3. The Children’s Parade will be at 6:30 p.m. It begins in the parking lot at 160 S. 200 East and ends at Founder’s Park. A spectacular fireworks show will begin at 9:45 p.m. in the park. On July 4, there will be a breakfast at Founder’s Park beginning at 7 a.m. There will also be the 30th Annual Freedom Run 5K and Children’s run. The race will start behind the city offices. Floats, bands and clowns are all part of the Parade on Main Street. The parade beings at Chase Lane and ends at Pages Lane. www.centervilleut.net/home.4thjuly.html.

Clearfield Holiday celebrations start with a 5K run/2 mile walk at 7 a.m. at the Clearfield City municipal building at 55 S. State street. A breakfast will be served from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the parking lot of Macey’s grocery store on 700 S. State St. Fireworks will begin at 10 p.m. at Fisher Park near 900 South and 1000 East. Deer Valley Resort David Cho leads the Utah Symphony in its annual “Patriotic Celebration” at Sundance Resort on Friday, July 3 at 8 p.m. The symphony will perform at Deer Valley Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater on Saturday, July 4. The all-American concert, which begins at 7:30 p.m., will salute the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Lunar Landing. Duchesne The city of Duchesne will hold a breakfast at 7 a.m. produce a fireworks show at dusk. For more information, call 435-738-2464.

Holladay Music and fireworks are part of the celebrations in Holladay. Entertainment will begin at 7 p.m. next to city hall at 4580 S. 2300 East. The fireworks festival kicks off at 10:10 p.m. For a more information, visit www.cityofholladay.com

Kaysville The city of Kaysville celebrates the nation’s birthday with several activities. At 7:30 a.m. there will be a 5K and 10K run at Davis High School Football stadium, 325 S. Main St. There will be a parade beginning at 11 a.m. The route begins at the Davis Applied Technology Center, 550 East and 300 South, travels north along Main Street to 100 North, then east to 200 East. Layton Layton will be celebrating with a breakfast, Fun Run/Walk, a parade, and a children’s carnival, among other activities. All will be held at the Layton Commons Park. Lehi This year the Crescent Superband will be performing a free concert at 6 p.m. at Thanksgiving Point. Fireworks will be at 10 p.m. at Electric Park.

Magna Magna will celebrate the Fourth of July with a parade at noon. The parade will begin at 8560 West and 3100 South and travel north to Magna Main Street at 2700 South and follow Main Street to 9150 West. Fireworks are at 10 p.m. Visit www.magnautah.org..

Murray Fun Days Several events are planned in Murray. At 8 a.m. there’s a 5K race, and at 9 a.m. there’s the children’s race. Both races begin at the Murray Park west entrance, near Constitution Circle. The parade is at 8:30 a.m. It begins at the Fashion Place Mall (6151 S. State St.) and ends at Murray Park. Several events are planned throughout the day, including baseball games and a carnival. There will also be live music. Fireworks begin at 10 p.m. in the Murray Park Softball Field. North Ogden Cherry Days The fun starts with a 5K Fun Run and Mayor’s Walk at 7 a.m. at the North Ogden IHC Health Center. It’s followed by the Children’s Parade at 9:30 and the main parade at 10 a.m. The parades start at 2850 North and Washington Blvd. (400 East) continuing south to 1900 North, where it will head east and disperse at approximately 450 East and 1800 North. Oakley Fourth of July celebrations begin at 7:30 a.m. with a Freedom Run 5K. At 10 a.m. there will be a parade, which begins at the Oakley Recreation Complex and ends near Oakley City Center. At 8 p.m. it’s the PRCA Rodeo, followed by fireworks. Visit www.oakleycity.com for a more detailed schedule.

Park City Park City has scheduled several activities to celebrate Independence Day, including a breakfast at 7 a.m. at City Park, 1354 Park. Ave. followed by a 5K run. The parade, which features over 70 floats, begins at 11 a.m. There will also be a lot of food and music. Fireworks are at Park City Mountain Resort at dusk. Provo’s Freedom Festival: It’s one of the biggest celebrations in the state and lasts several days. The celebration starts on July 2 with Balloon Fest. It takes place at 1100 N. Freedom Blvd, (Bulldog Field). Balloons will be flying each morning from 6:30 to 8 a.m., from July 2 through July 4.

Another popular event is the Grand Parade, which begins at 9 a.m. at University Avenue.

The festivals big finale is “Stadium of Fire.” This year, the event features the Jonas Brothers and SheDaisy. The event is hosted by Glenn Beck. The concert begins at 8 p.m. at Brigham Young University’s LaVell Edwards Stadium. It will end with one of the state’s biggest fireworks displays. Tickets range in price from $35 to $120. Sandy The Sandy Classic 4th of July 10K and 5K fun run begins at 7 a.m. at Centennial Boulevard, (10200 South). Celebrations will be held on the South Towne Promenade between Sandy City Hall and the South Towne Center at 10000 South and 175 East. Events will be held from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., with a parade beginning at 6 p.m., followed by a concert and fireworks. For more information, CLICK HERE.

Sugar House Park Sugar House Park will have a magnificent fireworks show beginning at 10 p.m. The show last about a half an hour. Prior to the fireworks, the Salt Lake Symphonic Winds will be performing from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Tooele The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band will perform at the Tooele High School Football Field. The performance begins at 8 p.m.. Gates open at 7 p.m. There will be fireworks after the concert. For more information, visit www.tooelecity.org.
